News agencies
Grozny-Inform and Chechen Republic Today are two prominent regional agencies in the official register. For current affairs check time, author and primary documents; one agency report is not independent corroboration.
Newspapers and magazines
Vesti Respubliki is a Russian-language regional paper, while Daymohk is important in Chechen publishing. Nasha Shkola focuses on education and Zori Islama on religious-cultural material; Nana magazine also appears in media registers. Check mastheads for frequency and archives.
Cross-read a media record before using it
Before interpreting a news item, resolve its metadata: who publishes it, when was it posted and updated, is an author or responsible desk named, and does the linked document genuinely support the text? Chechen- and Russian-language versions of one story may not be literal translations, so compare headline, timestamp and quotation source separately. An institution’s own statement confirms what that institution says; it is not independent confirmation of the event described. Sites that reproduce an agency wire do not count as a second source. For a broadcast clip or social video, check the full programme context, whether the uploading account is official and the recording date. Do not assume an archive page proves a current institution name, frequency or schedule. This turns the media guide from a directory into practical source literacy.
