72 hours before departure
Collect passport, visa/e-visa, insurance, accommodation, onward ticket and transit conditions in one file. Recheck card and cash use, mobile connectivity and emergency contacts from current sources.
On the morning of travel
Check the airline booking and terminal board together. For a mountain day, ask the driver again about road, weather, fuel, permissions and return time. Do not treat an old screenshot as current advice; inspect the source timestamp.
The 72-hour and 24-hour review
About 72 hours before travel, update entry conditions, insurance, flights, accommodation, mountain roads and official advisories in one file. In the final 24 hours, reconfirm the airline record, terminal, baggage, transfer driver, weather and the institutions planned for day one. Keep a mountain day swappable with a city day. When information changes, record the new source date rather than relying on an old screenshot, and never make an unconfirmed service essential to the itinerary.
