Seeing a theatre company away from its home stage reveals how its dramatic language travels to another city. In early August, the Khanpasha Nuradilov Theatre met Moscow audiences first with an excerpt and then with a full production the following day.
Two stages over two days
According to GTRK Vainakh's preview, the company presented an excerpt from “Above the Mountains” at Zaryadye on 4 August, followed by “The Road Home” on Pushkin Embankment on 5 August. Grozny Inform's follow-up identifies Musa Akhmadov as the playwright, Khava Akhmadova as director and the return home as the central theme.
Following the theme of homecoming
The Road Home carries the emotion between exile and homeland from a personal story onto the stage. Although the Moscow performances have ended, the production remains a strong introduction to the repertoire and dramatic language of the Khanpasha Nuradilov Theatre.
