Akhmat Arena hosted one of the season's liveliest early fixtures on the evening of 29 August. Krylya Sovetov struck first before Akhmat replied twice in quick succession. An equaliser in first-half stoppage time and another exchange of goals after the break completed a 3–3 night in Grozny.
Four goals before the interval
Ivan Oleynikov put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute. Akhmat answered in quick succession: Lechi Sadulaev equalised on 36 minutes and Egas Kasintura made it 2–1 two minutes later. Nikita Chernov had the final word of the half in the first minute of stoppage time, sending the teams in level at 2–2.
Neither side broke the balance
Giorgi Melkadze restored Akhmat's lead in the 60th minute. Krylya Sovetov levelled again when Oleynikov scored his second on 73 minutes. The score held from there, leaving Akhmat with one point from its second home match after the previous weekend's 4–1 victory over Rostov.
